I don’t want to be full of good, I want to be full of 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵! Let me explain.
There is no such thing as 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘧𝘶𝘭... but there is 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 and I want to be full of that. ✨
I think we can all agree that 2020 has been serving up some serious 🍋 lemons. But you know how the saying goes, when life gives you lemons make some lemonade!
The best way I know how to do that is to find 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 even when there is so much uncertainty.
It is so easy to complain about our circumstances. No matter what, there will ALWAYS be something that is not going our way, not happening fast enough, and / or just plain sucky. That’s a fact, Jack!
But if we are going to complain about the bad, we must also 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 in life and give it equal time.
1️⃣ I find it helpful to first remind myself that:
Positive people have negative thoughts too.
Successful people also struggle and fail.
Happy people have their lion share of sadness.
It’s not about being absent of the crap, it’s about finding a way to live well with it.
2️⃣ Then, I tell myself something that I love about myself or that I’m proud of. ☺️ I give myself credit for something that I’m doing. This reinforces the confidence & determination that I’m trying to generate.
3️⃣ Next, I express my gratitude for a minimum of 3 things daily. I’ve noticed that it’s more powerful to verbalize them often. Here’s the deal, if you are alive today & healthy, have clean drinking water, at least one living thing that loves you, you are blessed!
4️⃣All Movement Matters! I get up & get moving. I find ways to be in motion to help bring my energy up. This is super important &brings a mood up.
5️⃣ For me, hydration & sleep are essential. Lack of sleep makes it nearly impossible to feel happy. Water is the foundation to all life.
#PardonMyPositivity but I believe life is not about complaining. Life is about this: Being grateful • Practicing positivity • Creating Positive Actions • Being Sincere • & finding a reason to smile.
As always, if you found any value in this, I’d love to hear from you. 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘦
